‘living in the e-world’, which was one of the first examples of branded content ran in peak time on channel 4 in march 2000 the series of four, three minute programmes;

 

 

‘bacon on the net’, ‘cyber granny’, ‘wired school’ and ‘breaking records’ were produced by the coast and watched by over 3 million people

 

 

extensive qualitative research demonstrated that the programme series generated a positive viewer reaction with over half awarding an appreciation score of 7/10 or better, with 60% claiming they would watch again

 

 

according to the viewers, they were, digestible, unusual & interesting, with a sense of wonderment & involvement
